As the original creators of Argon Beam Coagulation technology, ConMed Electrosurgery is able to put its extensive knowledge and innovation into the development of each ABC product. ABC blows blood away from the bleeding surface, allowing electrosurgical energy to be directly applied to the target tissue, and thereby, reducing the potential for floating eschar. The thinner, more pliable eschar is evenly applied causing less tissue damage than conventional electrosurgical. This application has attributed to rapid hemostasis, reductions in blood loss, surgical time and surgical plume.
