The LightWave Ablator family of products all incorporate a one-piece molded handle design and can be used with almost any electrosurgical generator. The LightWave Foot Control style requires a generator adapter that is plugged into the monopolar “Foot Control” port of the electrosurgical generator. The LightWave Suction Ablator features hand controls, an adjustable roller clamp, suction control and a universal suction tubing adapter. The LightWave Ablator was developed in conjunction with ConMed, enabling ConMed Linvatec to utilize the electrosurgical expertise of its parent company. The LightWave Ablators are intended to be used for ablation, tissue modification and coagulation of soft tissue in shoulder, ankle, wrist, elbow and knee arthroscopic procedures.
