  Cardiology / Critical Care

Welcome and thank you for visiting CONMED's global website. The company was founded in 1973 by Eugene Corasanti as a small, private company manufacturing ECG monitoring electrodes. Since that time we have evolved the business into a publicly held diversified medical device organization that offers products in the orthopedic and general surgery specialties. We are geographically diverse with just under 50% of the Company's revenues generated in the United States and over 50% from other world-wide locations.

Our products are sold under well known brand names, including: CONMED, Linvatec® and Hall®. Medical professionals know that they can turn to CONMED for innovation, quality and value, across a whole array of devices to meet their needs. CONMED has grown through internal development of innovative products and through selective acquisitions of compatible product lines. Consequently, several of the Company's brand names have been in use for long periods.

The Linvatec brand (formerly Concept) has been in use over 50 years and is known for its global leadership in the design and development of least-invasive surgical repair devices for arthroscopy, also known as sports medicine. Today we offer a complete range of devices for the repair of soft tissue joint injuries including the Shoulder Restoration System for rotator cuff and shoulder instability repair as well as a complete line of devices for knee injuries including ACL, PCL, and meniscus repair. In 2012 we formed a partnership with the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation, and CONMED now offers allografts, biologic solutions and fixation for ligament reconstruction, cartilage repair and meniscal transplantation. With this unique partnership, we are enhancing patient outcomes by providing mechanical and biologic solutions for arthroscopic surgery.

The Hall® Surgical brand of powered  instrumentation for surgical procedures requiring the use of powered drills and saws for cutting, shaping, reaming and drilling bone, also dates back over 50 years.  While the primary usage is for orthopedic procedures, other specialties such as neurosurgery, cardiac, ENT, podiatry and dental also select the Hall® brand to meet their operating  needs. In addition to the surgical handpieces, we also provide our customers with a complete line of single-use burs and blades.

For general, gynecological, and gastrointestinal surgery, we take pride in the broad breadth of products that we offer to the medical market including the following: Advanced Energy devices,  Advanced Patient Monitoring devices, EndoMechanical Instrumentation,  Advanced Visualization for multi-specialty medical video and digital capture systems in both 2DHD & 3DHD formats and Gastroenterology & Pulmonology devices.

Our commitment to superior medical care continues with our focus on education and training. In 2012, we opened our expanded Center for Orthopaedic Education. Located in Largo, Florida, this 16,000 square-foot facility contains up to 21 training stations, a didactic auditorium and full multimedia capabilities. This world class facility will serve visitors from around the world and is focused on providing the latest information and education on arthroscopic products and techniques. Further, in late 2012 we opened a similar facility in New York City providing easy access for surgeons in the Northeast United States. Outside the U.S. our training facility in Germany serves the European area and we routinely hold training sessions in other facilities around the world.

CONMED is fueled and supported by an exceptional global team dedicated to providing premium products and service. Our mission is to build solid relationships both within and outside the company through integrity, trust and communication. Our emphasis is on our customers' satisfaction and sustained growth of shareholder value. We strive to demonstrate thoughtful leadership, provide meaningful opportunities for employees and be a responsible member of the local communities in which we conduct business.

As we look to the future, we are excited about our opportunities and believe CONMED will continue to expand for the benefit of patients and our customers, shareholders, and employees.
